. . For several months, I have chosen to work a completely different earth from porcelain, chamotted sandstone, to extract myself from what I know and open up to other exploratory fields. I move away from utility parts and work on larger formats by assembling plates or with colombin.
By choosing raw earths, I have a more direct approach to the earth through modeling to create primitive shapes.I mix different earths and integrate materials that allow me to develop parts where the material is very present in the form of powders, chamottes, sands,…. I use vitrified engobes to create the textures and colors that I apply on my land like paints. This stoneware collection is inspired by the world of wood ovens. Minimalist pieces, where the material takes an essential place. The search for raw textures allows me to create these unique pieces of apparent simplicity.
